We had a wonderful week with Ilaria and her family. The house is a lovely traditional property. There is no air-con which was difficult in 35c heat but there were plenty of fans and the weather can’t be complained about!
The house and pool are set next to the family home and amongst the olive trees that are used to make the most delicious olive oil I’ve ever tasted. The gardens are huge and very safe although make sure you take your mosquito spray! Loads to do in the area from swimming in the rivers to visiting the wonderful small towns and the gorgeous city of Lucca.

We zijn in de meivakantie op deze heerlijke plek geweest. Het huisje is groot genoeg voor 6 personen, schoon en netjes. De tuin waarin het huisje staat is in één woord fantastisch! We hadden heel veel ruimte en een zwembad tot onze beschikking en de tuin was gevuld met o.a. olijfbomen, bloemen en heel veel vogels. De tuin is volledig omheind wat ideaal is als je daar met kinderen bent. De eigenaren wonen op hetzelfde terrein en zorgen met veel liefde voor hun gasten en eigendom. Het huisje is een goede uitvalsbasis voor uitjes naar Lucca, Pisa (goed te doen met auto) en Florence (uurtje met trein). Maar ook in de directe omgeving is vanalles te bekijken en te doen. Waaronder authentieke dorpjes, een klimbos, Pinokkio park, pelgrimspad, the witch tree, etc. Een grote supermarkt is met auto binnen 10 minuutjes te bereiken.
Een wat ouder echtpaar is eigenaar en zij onderhouden alles. De heer des huizes weet veel van de omgeving en staat ook klaar om allerlei mooie plekjes in de omgeving te laten zien. We kregen een flesje heerlijke eigen geperste olijfolie en onze zoon heeft hij met veel plezier boogschieten geleerd. Ook staat hij direct klaar als er een probleempje is. Helaas spreekt hij alleen Italiaans, dus echt een gesprek voeren was voor ons wat lastig, maar met handen, voeten en Google Translate kom je een eind. Hun dochter doet de communicatie via mail en app. Zij spreekt wel Engels.
Wij hebben enorm genoten van onze tijd daar. Je kunt jezelf daar zo druk maken als je zelf wilt. Je kunt er een week helemaal tot rust komen, want het huis staat op een zeer rustige plek. Maar als je daar niet van houdt kun je iedere dag op pad om iets te bekijken of te doen. Kortom een aanrader!

La maison est située dans un grand terrain clos et arboré ( le grand tilleul nous permettait de rester dehors même l'après midi malgré la forte chaleur ) . Il est situé très près de la route reliant Lucca et pescia avec un accès rapide aux villes voisines ,à l'autoroute , mais en même temps dans un grand calme au milieu des oliviers ; de belles balades ou Footing dans la campagne sont accessibles dés le portail franchi
L'intérieur est fonctionnel avec notamment 2 salles de bains.

La casa forma és perfecta per a una família: una sola planta, tres habitacions i cuina menjador, està ben equipada. El jardí (compartit amb el propietari) és ampli, preciós i ben cuidat. La Ilaria i la seva família són molt hospitalaris i atents. La casa està ben ubicada per explorar la zona (Pisa, Florència, Lucca, Garfagnana...). La recomano sens dubte!
Great option for families. Nice 3 bedroom house with great beatiful garden. Ilaria and her family welcomed us warmly and were always attentive and helpful. The house location is perfect to explore the area (Florence, Lucca, Pisa, Garfagana...). We highly recommend it!
