Location was perfect and being next to a winery was a bonus. Plan to return later in the year when the winery and its cafe are open. Everything in the property was of a very high standard and Ruth had thought of everything. Right down to a plug near the dressing table so you could use a hairdryer near a mirror...another bonus. The gardens were beautiful even in early spring, a definate bonus. Thankyou Ruth for sharing your property and garden with us and our family.

It had a very homely atmosphere especially with the log burner. The lighting was also very good, with bedside table lamps for reading too.

Location great in summer season when everything re-opens - there is a winery with restaurant within walking distance. Otherwise in winter, you will need to drive. We were aware of this.
We had a lovely stay with my husband and two young kids. Everything about the property was very easy.
The hostess gave clear directions, good communications and she was accommodating with our request.
The property is tastefully decorated (modern/country), cosy and comfortable. It was well-equipped and thought out for our stay. We had everything we could possibly need for a stay away from home in terms of appliances, towels, blankets, toiletries, etc. There were lovely little touches, like a picnic basket or umbrella to borrow. On our recent visit (February), we welcomed the use of the woodburner which added to the cosiness, given the wet weather.
There was a useful house manual with instructions and suggestions for places to eat and visit, etc. It also encouraged the use of the adjoining garden and outdoor spaces, which would be lovely in warmer weather.

Nothing we didn't like - set the shower to "eco" for constant flow.
