About this cottage rental
Nestled amongst the quant cottages in the heart of the pretty waterside village of Newton Ferrers Hillside Cottage is a beautifully appointed property having been completely renovated recently. You enter into the fully equipped galley kitchen with fridge, dishwasher, microwave, oven and hob, washing machine, coffee machine and air fryer. Leading off the kitchen is the cosy sitting area with large TV and dining area and then down a small step into the bedroom with fitted wardrobes and TV. The cottage has underfloor heating throughout, superfast broadband and sky TV in the sitting room. Outside is a private sunny courtyard which also offers secure storage for paddle boards, kayaks, bicycles etc. We are in the centre of the village with a short walk to the pubs and shops and water access less than 1 minute walk - perfect for paddle boarding or kayaking. We are close to the South West Coast Path offering breath taking views. Plymouth is a short drive away, great for shopping, sight seeing or a trip to the theatre. The nearest beach is a 15 minute drive.
The village has a post office/community stores, pharmacy, co-op open 7 days a week and 3 pubs serving delicious home cooked food. The Dolphin Inn with lovely waterside terrace and cosy log fire is right opposite, the Swan Inn and Ship Inn are the other side of the river in Noss Mayo which you can walk across to on low tide. There is also a cafe/deli at the village green.
There are 5 free parking spaces right outside and plenty of unrestricted free roadside parking within the village less than a 2 minute walk.
Newton Ferrers is in the beautiful South Hams district of South Devon. Whether you like country or coastal walks, water sports or sight seeing the area offers something for everyone.

The cottage was lovely and spotlessly clean. It was nice to have tea, coffee and milk available to start you off. The information supplied was good and if we needed anything the host was contactable to assist.

As already confirmed by my star rating, the cottage is excellent. The only issue is the complication of long term parking at the top of a steep hill. This may be a problem for those of limited mobility or lack of physical fitness.

Beautiful cottage, very well maintained, spotless clean. Very well thought through design. I cannot fault anything.
Cosy bedroom, lovely lounge with TV and night light, perfect kitchen with everything you need, very nice bathroom, with lit up mirror and night light. A lovely welcome pack with milk. water, orange juice, coffee and tea.
