About this house rental
True North is a place to recalibrate your senses on the banks of the Russian River. This tranquil home promises an unforgettable experience, with a deck perched up among the trees, direct access to the river below, 2 seasonal kayaks & a stand up SUP board (generally available from May - October, weather permitting), and a hot tub to soak in any time you wish.
This two-story home enjoys a beautiful location on the riverfront, looking out over the river itself, evergreen treetops, and the Northwood Golf Course across the road. Swim and kayak from the riverbank, dine out in Guerneville (three miles), and hike your way through Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve (five miles). The house is also perfectly situated for wine tasting in the Russian River Valley and scenic drives out to the Sonoma Coast.
Much of your time here will be spent on the gorgeous deck, immersed in the redwoods that rise up through the deck boards. It's an incredibly special setting for morning coffee, afternoon barbecues, and evenings spent enjoying the quiet that this location offers.
With its open layout and generous windows, the interior is every bit as inviting. Highlights include a well-appointed kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a designated playroom off to the side, and a living room where you can watch movies on cable, DVD, or stream your favorite show while enjoying the warmth of the woodstove. The far upstairs bedroom is a beautifully painted kids' room with a bunk bed with two twin mattresses (sleeping 2) plus a queen size be (sleeping 2) for a total room space accommodating up to 4 guests. The other upstairs bedroom, located across the hall from a full bath with shower over tub, has a queen size bed and offers direct access to the outdoor porch facing the golf course. On the main level, the primary suite features its own desk workspace, so you can log onto the complimentary WiFi and catch up on a bit of remote work in peace or award yourself time in the gorgeous, tiled ensuite bath that resembles a luxury spa experience. An additional plus of the primary suite is direct access through the glass doors to the hot tub at any time of day, or night. All three bedrooms were well panned out in location and sleeping accommodations.

This is a beautiful property in an amazing location. I can’t recommend it enough! The house itself is so unique and special, well-appointed, and comfortable. The deck is perfect for watching the river with your morning cup of coffee. My family had a great time with the kayaks and SUP board. The path to the water does require a strong, healthy adult to carry the kayaks. The river at the time we visited was very slow moving and safe for my teen and preteen. It was not more than chest deep in the immediate area. The hot tub was clean and relaxing after a day on the water. Just a note if you are particular about water, there is tap water available for drinking from the sinks, but no ice. So bring filtered water or ice if you need it. Don’t miss the opportunity to stay at True North, you won’t regret it!
