High Tree Resort, Krabi

The property is wonderful. Set in a quiet corner, with unique isolated units with a great view of the lake through a glass wall. One of the more beautiful rooms I've been to. The staff is very welcoming and attentive.

The property is located in a "dead" part of Krabi. We ended up taking a 15-minute taxi to the livelier part. The hotel runs a Halal restaurant, so no alcohol to enjoy a glass of wine or beer at the end of the day or by the pool. We had an issue with the water standing in the shower, and although we asked twice, the issue wasn't resolved.

Staff were exceptional and well mannered. They couldn't do enough for you. The location was amazing, 5 minutes to get to the main beach area in Ao Nang but still very peaceful.. As this is Muslim run there is no Alcohol on premise but you can purchase your own, bring back to site and drink it in your room or balcony. Breakfast each morning was exceptional too. Highly recommended!

Such a special place - away from the buzzing and tourist traps of Ao Nang. We really enjoyed our stay. Sleeping in a spacious bungalow up in the trees was very unique. The little house was comfortably designed and furnished and the high ceiling also made it feel spacious. We liked how the bathroom is wrapped around the tree. We also enjoyed the big TV with Netflix (having a small child with us, we always turned in after dinner). The pool is not big but it provided hours of water fun for us. The reception and restaurant area is beautiful. We liked the “little things”: beach bags, robes, slippers, the binoculars for bird watching. Also the garden is lush and beautiful. Nok and her entire team were very friendly and we had an amazing stay here.

Breakfast is ala carte and a little bit limited - this is understandable as this is a small boutique hotel but coming from Europe we always prefer to have buffet with lots of local delicacies.

The room, the view and the pool

The place is extraordinary: the trees villas are magnificent and very clean. The pool is superb. I recommend it. However, the staff is incompetent: They didn't know how to advise us on tourist activities around the hotel. They didn't know how to book a taxi for us. They have only one taxi contact which is not professionnal for such a level of resort. They made mistakes in our breakfast orders. They made a mistake in the billing for our room drinks and asked us to pay an extra charge without providing details. We asked them to correct this unjustified extra charge. We had to ask them for a detailed invoice. The explanations regarding room availabilities were unclear. The breakfast music was a bit loud, and we heard it in the room in the morning. The staff's English level is not good enough, which would explain all these mistakes.
