This is a great base for a trip to York. The location is excellent, just a short walk to the Minster and centre of the City. The railway station is just a 20 minutes walk away.
The hosts Allan and Julie are so welcoming and friendly, taking time to chat to all the guests and on hand for assistance if ever needed. They serve up a great breakfast in the mornings with both a cooked breakfast and continental options available and plenty of choice of cereals and fruit.
The room was warm and cosy with a comfortable bed. Everywhere is very clean and well maintained.
I would highly recommend City Guest House for a stay in York.

Allan and Julie were very welcoming and accommodating. We loved the town of York and its proximity to the City Guest House. Excellent stay in an impeccable property. Highly recommended.

The breakfast was made every day really good well cooked. Lovey clean room lovey pelope who own it near the York mister and shops.
