About this house rental
Relax with the whole family at this peaceful 3 bedroom home. Overlooking the Rangitane reserve, watch from the deck as the kids play tennis or swing at the playground. Only 200m to the boat ramp to access the beautiful Bay of Islands. 15 minutes to supplies in Kerikeri or Waipapa. 8 minutes to Doves Bay marina. Little ones can swim at high tide at the reserve. Kayak around the inlet and catch a snapper, or wander the nearby bushtracks. Listen out for the local kiwi at night.
The space
Bright sunny 3-bedroom home in peaceful Rangitane.
The dining room and deck have views over the reserve and mangroves with a peek of the inlet. Enjoy the sunrise with your morning coffee.
The two larger bedrooms have queen beds and wardrobes, the smaller room has a king single with a single trundler underneath.
Recently renovated kitchen and bathroom with everything you need. Kitchen basics such as oil, salt & pepper, and milk are provided.
Smart TV with Netflix account. Bluetooth soundbar for music.
It's 15 minutes to the nearest cafe so you'll need the espresso machine, and there are coffee beans to get you started. Large new fridge/freezer, gas hob and regular oven.
There's a washing machine but no dryer.
The backyard has a carport converted into an outdoor dining space, with decking around and BBQ.
There's also a flat space for kids to play while the family relaxes.
The Rangitane reserve is directly across the road, with a playground, tennis court, netball hoop, and picnic tables. Rackets, balls etc are provided.
The little beach at the reserve is perfect for kids to play.
A tandem kayak is available to use.
Plenty of games and books for the whole family, regardless of the weather.
Table tennis set up in the garage.
The public boat ramp is just 200m down the road. It's suitable for trailer boats up to about 6m, from mid tide. Smaller boats can launch anytime except dead low. Deeper ramps are nearby at Doves Bay and Opito Bay.
Rangitane is a high kiwi population area, you'll likely hear the kiwi calling at night, occasionally you'll spot one roaming the grassy areas looking for food.

We have stayed at numerous VRBO’s around the world and this one is truly exceptional. It a home equipped with everything you will need for a delightful stay and things you didn’t even know you needed. The hosts are simply stellar in their commumncations, approach and attention to details. The place is immaculately clean and fully stocked with dishes, cooking wares, deck views etc. If you truly want an authentic Kiwi (persons and birds) adventure this is the place to stay. Numerous hiking options to secluded beaches abound. Yet close enough to Kerikeri city center for shopping (e.g., groceries) and dining (e.g., Kai Mata restaurant with off the hook cuisine). An 11 out 10. This was our second stay and even better the second time as we spent more time in this lovely place.

Very comfortable house with lots of extra’s - games room, finishes, kayak. Friendly hosts with great communication. A great refuge in the storms. Would stay again.
