About this apartment rental
Il Fattoio is an apartment of about 60 square meters that has been renovated and arranged to accommodate 5 people. Equipped with every comfort, it will welcome you during your stay and make you feel at home.
Born as a fattoio, or more commonly an olive press, it was used until the 1960s as a place for processing olives and producing oil.
As soon as you enter you find yourself in a spacious living room with a fireplace. One of the sofas converts into a comfortable sofa bed. The kitchen is equipped with all major appliances to faithfully accompany you in the preparation of your lunches or dinners. Two bedrooms and a spacious bathroom complete the apartment.
Podere Fattoio is located in Fontisterni, a small villate in the municipality of Pelago immersed in the green Tuscan hills on the south-eastern slope of Pratomagno.
On the rugged slopes with calcareous soils on clay schists, we cultivate olive trees and vines that give rise to products with unique organoleptic characteristics.
3 parking spaces are available on the property.
One pet is allowed.
Smoking and celebrating events are not allowed.
The property offers homemade/homegrown produce.
This property has guidelines to help guests with the correct separation of waste. More information is provided on site.
Washing machine: free use for one wash then from the second a surcharge applies. The laundry is located outside the flats.

Pros: The house was great, with plenty of facilities/utensils. The location was quiet & very pretty, and access into Florence via local train couldn’t have been easier! Would happily revisit.

Wow what an amazing few days! The apartment is beautiful and feels very traditional and spacious. It was very clean and well equipped for our 4 night stay. There are two bedrooms, one room with a double bed and another room with two singles, and there is a fifth bed in the lounge area. The apartment had everything we needed for our stay, but the host was more than happy to assist if we needed any help. They were incredibly friendly and helpful, and they couldn’t have done more to make us feel at home. Our stay was in July, we found the building stayed cool despite the lack of air conditioning, and the beautiful terrace was well shaded so we could continue to enjoy the stunning views of the hills throughout the heat of the day. The location is fabulous, it’s only a 40 minute drive into central Florence and only 15 minutes into Pontassieve where there are various supermarkets and restaurants. Thanks for a wonderful stay, we would love to return at some point in the future!
