About this apartment rental
Our home is one of the first "eight" homes of significance around North Lake Washington. Over the years, many families have lived here, including the Dean of The University of Washington who implemented the Arboretum in Seattle.
Our home has undergone some major remodels over the last 100 years and features contemporary style while retaining much of its original charm. The unit you will stay has 1,200 square-feet (110 M2) of space, and was just renovated less than 5 years ago, all with new finishes.

Please note this is a private lower level suite (Unit B). Unit A, another rental unit, is on the upper level. You may hear some noise from time to time.
The entrance to the suite will be through one flight of stairs.
Please respect Quiet Time from 10 pm to 7 am.
2 parking spaces (in tandem) are available on the left side of the carport.

Fantastic rental. Clean, comfortable cozy and has what you need. Worked great for our needs and would definitely stay here again. It’s a basement of a larger house but it’s smartly set up and feels homey.

It offers comfort with a few quirks to be aware of.PositivesThe space is clean, newly finished, and well-maintained, giving it a fresh and modern feel.It’s well-appointed with tasteful decor and functional amenities that make it feel like home.The view is beautiful and adds a serene backdrop to your stay.The hosts are warm, communicative, and helpful, making the experience smooth and welcoming.Things to KnowThe unit is on the lower level (basement), with windows that look into light wells—so natural light is limited.Access is via uneven concrete steps, and the entrance is a sliding glass door rather than a traditional one.There are interior stairs leading to the upstairs VRBO unit and we could hear foot traffic from upstairs.The bathroom sink is in an open area shared with the laundry.The water closet (toilet/shower room) is compact but has strong water pressure.The bathroom floor is slightly elevated and uneven around the perimeter—be mindful of toe stubbing and lower ceiling clearance, especially if you’re tall.The hot water heater is located in a closet inside the unit and may produce occasional noise.
