Convenient location and very nice neighborhood. Good decoration taste. Homey and cosy. It must be a wonder in spring/summertime.
Bed mattress was hard, cleanliness wasn’t as high as I expected (though still okay), and the small heating device was not enough to warm up the whole place so I was cold.

Ik was zeer aangenaam verrast toen ik aankwam; het huisje ligt in een super gezellige buurt, pal tussen de lokale bewoners, ik vond het geweldig om de enige toerist te zijn. Het huisje zelf is fantastisch, vooral het tuintje vond ik heerlijk, ik heb daar erg veel gezeten. In de keuken is alles wat je nodig hebt, zelfs een wasmachine. Alleen er zijn zoveel overheerlijke en zeer goedkope restaurants in de buurt dat ik nooit gekookt heb. De buurt is een van de leukste buurten uit Shanghai, en vanuit daar kon ik overal makkelijk komen, met zowel de metro als de taxi (didi) en de bullet train. Het personeel was extreem attent, ze kochten een enorme voorraad waterflessen voor me en fruit, en de communicatie verliep super makkelijk via AliPay (aanrader!). Je moet inderdaad rechtstreeks een deposit betalen wat misschien raar lijkt voor booking, maar alles is helemaal betrouwbaar. Ik kreeg mijn deposit ook meteen weer teruggestort bij het weggaan. De volgende keer dat ik naar Shanghai ga boek ik deze plek absoluut weer!

Excellent location in a surprisingly quiet residential community in the heart of the old city. The park round the corner is worth a visit with its cacophony of competing bands and singing groups side by side. The apartment would benefit from a guide to the locality mentioning such things, including the famed wonton cafe round the corner.
No good for tall people, you'll brain yourself on the low upstairs ceiling. The low entrances to the stairway also lie in wait to give you a particularly nasty crack..
