I didnt receive a code prior to check-in so we were stuck outside for a while. Thankfully, we were able to call a number online and a staff let us in. She even helped us with check-in so we didn’t have to go through the hassle of a self-check in. The rooms themselves felt new and very clean. Rooms were tiny, but sufficient!

First off; nothing us cheap in Luzern. This is almost a budget hotel at the price so don't expect 4 or 5 star service or facilities. It's clean, presentable, has a tea station, coffee machine and fridge. The beds are fine, (some might find them a bit firm) and self check in, so long as one follows the instructions properly, works fine.
For us, a big plus is the location- it's on the south side of the river just inside the old town demarcation and all the main city attractions are well within walking distance (10-15 minutes.)
The bar on the street level under the rooms is pretty cool with nice staff and guests get a discount.
There are also 2 great cafes within a stonesthrow serving very good breakfast/brunch at relatively decent prices. There is no catering at this hotel.

I love it and definitely would recommend. It’s only 10 to 15 minutes walk to the main station. The only downside is the self check in. The computer system is located inside the lobby. We can’t get in. To solve this problem , you can install something like ATM machine on the outside or an intercom system to verify customer so U can let us in to register. We waited until someone came out then we go in.

We were on the top (5th) floor in a “Deluxe Quadruple Room” which had 2 rooms, each with 1 queen bed composed of 2 adjacent small beds under one large bed sheet. The AC was in 1 bedroom, so you can’t close the door while sleeping if you need AC for all. The AC was under capacity for more than 1 room, as it struggled to cool 2 rooms. There is no reception and check-in is done on a kiosk, which asks for much info, cumbersome input after a long flight. Service is thru email, which can be problematic for some situations. I didn’t even get a reply on one of my email. Nearby is a clock where bells ring every hour, so this may be an issue for some. Elevator is very small, fits 1 person with 1 luggage and reaches 4th floor. Bathroom is basic and shower stall is small. Wifi was good.
