Holiday Inn Express is an ideal choice if you plan to visit the Mount Pilatus. We stayed as a family of 2 adults and 2 kids, and the rooms are quite comfy and spacious. A special mention to the reception staff and the manager as they are quite courteous and ensure they meet all your requests. Location is also ideal as it's a 2 minute walk to Kriens Mattenhorf station, which takes you to Lucern. The hotel also provides a free visitor pass that covers your local transport. Hot Tip: Mygros is right opposite the hotel for quick cheap eats.
Buffet breakfast could have added a few more options as it was quite limited. We struggled to find fruits at the buffet during our 3 day stay.

Just the microwave usage. We were hungry and wanted to heat our food, but microwave can’t be used till 7am.
And coffee has charge outside breakfast hours.

Actually better than I was expecting. Very friendly and helpful staff. Parking across the street. Close to the train for ease of getting into Lucerne central. Options for eating just around the corner. We were only stopping for one night on our journey into Italy but we will definately book again on our return journey back to the UK. I would recommend.

Checkin went well, Staff were supportive with the directions and facilities which can be used. parking instructions were clear. Overall a good experience.
Room was not very clean. we found blobs of hair in the corner of the room. Toilet seat was broken and made a lot of noise. Basically it was just left on top of the toilet with no connection whatsoever.
