About this house rental
Superbly located directly on the banks of the River Dart, Vipers Quay is a wonderfully located 1960’s boat house, sleeping up to 12 guests. The spectacular living room is the focal point, with fantastic views over the River Dart and across to Greenway (Agatha Christie’s home) and the village of Dittisham. The huge room is open and spacious, with plenty of comfortable armchairs and sofas where you can relax and enjoy the changing light over the water. There is an open fire at one end of the room, with logs available for winter visitors. At the other end the dining table comfortably seats 12 guests.
Outside there is a garden running alongside the water, leading to a woodland area, and a BBQ and two picnic tables where you can eat out in the summer. A spiral staircase leads up to a sundeck on the roof with fantastic views out over the river where you can catch some rays while watching the boats go by. In front of the house, the private jetty can be used for crabbing or to launch a canoe or paddle board.
There is ample parking and the house is all on one level, meaning it is suitable for wheelchair users (see access statement). Pets are welcome.

Wonderful location for our annual family holiday. Facilities good although it was a shame that the freezers were still full from the previous occupants. The only downside was the bunk bed mattresses were exceptionally uncomfortable with all the springs clearly being felt, we managed to make them usable by placing the spare duvets from the top bunks for the two children to lie on. However, we all had a fantastic holiday and we would love to make a return visit next year if this is rectified.

Do remember the house is of an era so not spotlights and spangle. BUT! Other than that, the best date ever. Comfy beds, lovely linen, big fluffy towels, fabulous welcome basket of scones, cream, jam, fresh bread, biscuits, etc. 4 bathrooms,lovely bodywash/soap/shampoo/conditioner.

We stayed for a long weekend when the weather was terrible but we still had the best time. Celebrating my mums 60th there were 12 of us total us the dog! Great peaceful location with a great view. Local village for a pint was nice and a log fire in the evening made it a great trip to get the family together. Host Felicity is great, very good communication and helpful in every way.
