We loved our stay here. Everything we needed was there, the beds were comfortable, and it was a central location for us. Despite the fact that the host lives in the other half of the building, we hardly saw them and never heard them. We were greeted when we first arrived. After that, we saw them once. The only small issue we had was road noise. We live in a very quiet area so we aren't used to that. This might be more specific to us. If you live in town, you may not even notice. I would definitely stay here again!

I loved my stay in Gold beach, it's such a laid back, groovy little town! The beaches and forests are spectacular! The air is fresher and the oxygen richer. Shari and Doug's apartment makes you feel like you are home. She has everything in the kitchen! It is immaculately clean, comfortable and pretty! The view of Elephant Rock is mesmerizing from the deck and exhilarating when you open the gate to the river plains below. The garden is beautiful with exotic flowers everywhere. The location is perfect next to the best pizza restaurant on the southern coast and across the street from a great cafe that serves buckwheat waffles! You won't regret staying here. I hope to come back soon!

We really enjoyed our stay. Such a nice place, beautiful outdoor spaces. The inside space was cozy and had all the conveniences that we needed. The hosts were absolutely wonderful. We were there for fishing trips on the Rouge and this place was less than 5 minutes away from the docks. Highly recommend the Gold Beach Apartment.

Bathroom: this room is small, and the tub/shower combination is actually a Jacuzzi type tub that is very deep so, if you have balance issues, it can be difficult to get in and out. Plus, there are no grab bars for stability. Over the bathroom sink is a HUMONGOUS medicine cabinet that makes it very difficult to use the sink. (It is so large that the light fixture above the cabinet had to be installed upside down). Be careful when you bend over as you will hit your forehead on the mirror! The tall towel rack (above the toilet) is not secured to the wall and if you aren't careful, you could pull the whole thing over on you.
Bedrooms: the rooms are small for the size of the bed in each unit. The chest of drawers in each bedroom are gigantic and make it difficult to maneuver around each bed. The bedrooms, and I kid you not, are located approximately 50 feet from the busy road. So, road noise is a problem.
Living Room: no guide for TV programming nor the programmable wall AC/Heater control unit.
Other: upon leaving, you are expected to strip the bed(s) and put the sheets in the hamper, run the dishwasher and start the washing machine for all towels used.
Positives: as a welcoming gift, cheese, crackers and grapes were provided inside the refrigerator and were a nice touch. A selection of chocolates were also provided on the dining room table. The host did check in on us (via text), more than once and made sure we knew to reach out to her if needed.
