Our family had a wonderful stay at Helen and Steve’s beautiful guest house in the French Alps. From the moment we arrived, our hosts were incredibly attentive and consistently went above and beyond to make our visit comfortable and worry‑free.
A heavy mountain snowstorm hit during our stay, but Helen and Steve made us feel completely safe and cared for, checking in often and helping us navigate the situation with calm and kindness.
And the breakfasts — absolutely amazing. Generous, delicious, and the perfect start to each day.
A truly memorable stay. We’re grateful for the hospitality and would happily return.

We would highly recommend the Guest House if you like the idea of a lovely authentic chalet nestled in a small village in the mountains. Quiet seclusion, no bustle or noise, skiing the traditional way, departing each day for a different mountain. (You really should have a car, otherwise you're walking 10-15 minutes to gondola in Vallorcine.)
The hosts, Helen and Steve, (speak fluent English and French ...and Swedish presumably!) make you feel very welcome and gave excellent recommendations for restaurants. The breakfast is superb, and Helen is attentive to each guest’s needs. The communal room has a very warm and cosy atmosphere with a wood burner and comfy sofas. Our room was very comfortable, with a large bed and private bathroom next door. (Other rooms had en suite showers).

This guest house in Vallorcine is a true gem. Nestled in the mountains with only a few rooms, it feels like staying at your favorite aunt and uncle’s home. The rooms are cozy and warm, and the owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is delicious, and the atmosphere is wonderfully family-like, making it easy to chat and connect with other guests. A truly special place — we would happily come back!
