the location
It wasn't the room in the picture, unfortunately we arrived late at night and had no one to ask for a change, our room was 206, I assume 205 had the perfect view

Based on prior reviews and description, we thought we had a view of St. Marks Square and the Basilica. We had a Superior King room. We had a view of a wall through two small windows. The location was excellent with easy walking access and 2 min from Basilica San Marco. There was not good ventilation, esp in bathroom, and on opening windows we had many mosquitoes (and many bites!), not expected in March. While the staff was great and room otherwise comfortable but small, the lack of any view was especially disappointing and I felt we overpaid for this room.
