Set within the owners’ working sheep and cattle farm in an elevated position to take in the stunning rural views, Larchwood Lodge has private parking below the property from which there is a short uphill walk to the front door (approx. 12 steps up to the front door).
Larchwood Lodge has been renovated to a high standard in 2023 and offers comfort and luxury throughout this ground floor accommodation. Walk directly into the spacious, open plan living space which is just fabulous, there’s a wood burner for those colder evenings and underfloor heating throughout the property. The 22-foot bi-folding doors lead out onto a beautiful decked area with spectacular views of the rolling hills and valley, a great space for relaxing with a glass of your favourite tipple as you watch the sun go down and listen to the local wildlife, don’t forget there is also the private hot tub on the decked area which is undercover and has a Smart TV on the wall!
Nearby there are walks aplenty for the more active, and many open gardens to explore including Hergest Croft Gardens in nearby Kington. There is also the small breed animal park situated just outside Kington, which younger visitors will be able to enjoy all year round. Kington also provides guests with pubs and restaurants to enjoy, as well as a number of takeaway restaurants if you are looking to enjoy a night in. The property is just 13 miles from the popular town of Hay-on-Wye which is famous for its many book shops and annual Hay Festival, which attracts many visitors each year, including many celebrity faces. Pub and restaurant 1¾ miles.
Larchwood Lodge (UK42917) can be booked together with Red Kite Lodge (UK32610) and Offa’s Dyke Lodge (UK10835) to accommodate up to 18 guests.

What a stunning place!The views from the lodge are spectacular. Although there is a busy road behind the farm you can't hear it at all.The lodge is clean and comfortable throughout and feels very cosy with the underfloor heating and fire place!The only thing to be aware of is to bring some essentials with you ie, pepper, oil, laundry detergent as there aren't any provided at the property. There is a large co-op in Kington, only a 5 minute drive away to pick up these items and more.
