Location is everything and this place has it. Right in the heart of Annecy. It does have a few drawbacks however. It is on top floor of building so you have to deal with sloping roof on both sides of the apartment. If you are under 5’2” this is probably not a big deal. I’m 6’ and bumped my head numerous times. We were also fortunate the temperature never got above 75 degrees as there was only a portable AC unit that could not have cooled the upstairs bedrooms if it had been hotter. We also had to route the AC exhaust through skylight. And trying to shower with the sloping ceiling is pretty much a joke. This was fine for a weekend stay. Might be tough if you’re looking longer term.

A great location within walking distance to everything.Check-in a bit of a challenge if you have a car - you have to park somewhere first, not easy because of lots of closed and pedestrian streets around the unit. But the garage, though a short walk away is spacious and easy to access once you're in. Close to the railway station if coming by train - then easy.Space was a little cramped for 4 of us with the slanted roof, but on the plus side the unit is very well organized for the space it has. We started calling it "The Hobbitt House."Overall it's fine if you don't mind being right in the centre of town (which is beautiful), and I would recommend it. The creperie right across the street (a pedestrian mall) is great, and had multiple gluten-free options for my celiac daughter. Younger adults would thrive here.GeorgeOttawa, Canada
