Hôtel des Deux Avenues

Clean room, perfect location, fiendly staff

Our stay was memorable! We'll definitely stay here the next time we go to Paris. The hotel is located a few blocks from Champs Elysees/ Arc de Triomph. It's easily accesible from Orly or Charles de Gaulle. Metro Line 2 is around the corner, it takes you to Monmartre or to CDG airport. You can access M1 via Arc de Triomph too, that line takes you to Hotel de Ville, the Louvre, the Palais Royal, Tuileries, Place de la Concorde, etc. Our room was super comfortable, very clean and tidy. We had 5 bags and still had room to move around and a small desk to sit and eat. It's not a villa but hotels in Europe have smaller rooms generally, and this one was particularly comfortable, especially for Paris. It also had an elevator so all rooms were accessible. The decor was nice and classic. Go to an American hotel chain if you want a room bigger than your house that you are not going to use and modern "furniture" instead of the real deal, classic, stylish actual wooden furniture like in most hotels anywhere in Europe. Our room featured a minifridge, a kettle, and mugs, and they gave us complimentary coffee sachets and tea bags; you had the option to get their breakfast buffet for an additional fee but we would have a light breakfast in our room on account that we would visit patisseries and boulangeries on our way and try delicious food everywhere, all day. Our room also had two large windows facing an internal garden, with both a light and heavier black out curtain for privacy. The bed, pillows and comforter were all super comfortable as well. The staff was wonderful, so friendly and nice! We almost cried when we shook hands with the receptionist the day we checked out. She was so lovely.

Because we booked the room upon our arrival and it was very last minute, we were given the accessible room on the ground floor (all rooms were accessible and serviced by an elevator but this room was prepared for people with different abilities), and it was right on top of the petit dejeuner area on floor -1, so it was a little noisy at 7, 8am. We were up by then so it was ok. Generally speaking the room was very quiet, even though there was a construction site accross the street from the hotel. We didn't hear a sound.

The room was fully renovated as was the bathroom. Everything was very clean. The location was very good on a nice street in a nice residential neighborhood.

Unfortunately, there is a construction site right across the street which the room faced on, but that will end eventually.

I liked the location. The facilities were ok, elevator also ok.

Even though I knew before, the room was a bit small. The other day the cleaning was done very very late, 4;30 PM... I came back in my room tired and wanted to get some sleep, but then came the cleaning lady. She changed the towels, and left our trash can there. After I informed the receptionist, she told me with an irony: can't you wait 10 minutes? No apologies at all.
