MARINA'S GRAND DELUXE 2/2 SUITE W/GREAT AMENITIES

This apartment was in an ideal location for us. The grounds were well maintained. The pool area was so pretty. The beds were quite comfy. Only some minor annoyances noted. On the website, I did discover some discrepancies with the write up. In one place, it was stated as being a 2 bedroom, but then in another place it stated that the apartment was a 3 bedroom. Also, the photos still seem to be combined photos of another unit. Some of the bathroom lightbulbs were burnt out which was a pain. Also, the washing machine destroyed some of our clothing; so use with caution. The blow up mattress had a slow leak. It would have been nice if there was a chair along with the love seat in the sitting area. Correspondence with the owner was on point. He replied to my text in a timely manner. I would recommend this VRBO.

The apartment is nice. It appears a bit larger in the photos, but that is typical. Some of the photos later in the slide must actually be of a different unit though. It is in a gated community and the parking stall is a very short walk to the apartment, which is convenient. No need to use stairs or an elevator to haul in your luggage. We had three adults and three children with us. It was fairly comfortable for all of us. However, the listing is a bit deceiving. It says three rooms. There are two bedrooms and a living room with a sofa that pulls out into a bed. The mattress in the sofa is very thin and you can feel the springs and bars. Kids were uncomfortable on it. We layered blankets as best we could. There is a mention of a twin bed in the ad, but that is not the case. There are two twin size inflatable mattresses and those came in handy. One of the biggest frustrations was the towel situation. There were no hand towels for the bathrooms and not many shower towels. Fortunately there is a washer and dryer, but it would be nice to have more towels. I think the owner or housekeeper could do more to inspect what the place needs after each guest leaves. Apparently some guests are known to steal the hand towels. All of these are easily correctable, so with that said, we had a fun stay and I would recommend this as a nice place for a group to stay. I would say four or five people max would be the most comfortable in this unit.
