Ancient country villa with pool in the hills of Tuscany, surrounded by woods
The price from the VRBO platform is calculated correctly up to 6 guests with 3 bedrooms 3 bathrooms but if for 6 guests you want for example 4 bedrooms you will have to write 8 guests, if you want 5 bedrooms you will have to write 10 guests and the platform will calculate the price and of course the commission, the lower the number of rooms booked and the lower the commission to be paid to VRBO.

The villa is located in the heart of Tuscany, between Florence and Arezzo, in a splendid position with a panoramic view of the medieval castle of Poppi.
The villa dates back to the beginning of the 20th century, which has been lovingly restored and offers every comfort. It can accommodate up to ten people and has five bedrooms, four bathrooms, an independent kitchen and two living rooms on a living space of 180sqm. It is on two levels and has three entrances. On the ground floor there is a double bedroom with bathroom en suite with shower (disabled), a tearoom with a wood-burning stove, a sofa and a desk, a dining room with sofas, a satellite TV and a kitchen with a fireplace , Hoods, and refrigerator with freezer. On the upper floor there are two double bedrooms each with a bathroom en suite with shower and two double bedrooms with a shared bathroom with shower (the upper floor has direct access to the garden).
In the outdoor area is the private pool (5x11m) with indoor and outdoor lighting, shower and sunbathing (open during the intermediate and high season). The villa is very bright and is very quiet, surrounded by a centuries-old oak forest where you can find deer, fallow deer and deer or, depending on the season, mushrooms, blackberries or olives. This is why the villa is an ideal holiday destination where you can enjoy the peace surrounded by nature. There is a fantastic brick and roofed barbecue with lighting, barbecue, wood oven for pizzas, sink with drinking water, shelves, table and chairs so that you can enjoy the dishes outdoors and enjoy the splendid views of the enchanting Valle del Casentino.
The owners welcome their guests with their welcome specials and prepare homemade noodles with pudding for the guests once a week. The holiday home is completely fenced with a two meter high fence.
The villa is surrounded by nature and is just five minutes from the pilgrimage church of Camaldoli, the golf course, the center of Poppi (one of the most beautiful medieval towns in Italy) and the Foreste Casentinesi National Park.
The Adriatic coast is about 90 minutes' drive away, while the Tyrrhenian Sea is a two-hour drive. Bathing is also possible in the lake, which is 1.5 km from the center of Pratovecchio, or in the river Arno. Excursions can be made to the Zoo of Poppi, to the pilgrimage church of the Verna, the hermitage of Camaldoli and the National Park of Foreste Casentinesi. Florence is an autostate, Arezzo 40 minutes by car and Siena 90 minutes by car. From Arezzo you can reach Rome by express train in only one hour and 5 minutes, so even day trips are possible

The location of the villa was super! Perfect for a silent & calm stay! The pool gave a big fun & the grill area with a pizza oven! The house with five rooms was ideal for us (10 people), and we cold slept without air-condition quite good as well!

We spent a lovely two weeks in this beautiful house! Monica was super responsive to all our questions in the weeks before our trip and her fresh pasta was such a delicious treat!
The house itself is perfect for a family holiday, hidden in the woods but a short drive from Poppi and its restaurants. It has everything one needs and is very comfortable, the stunning views from the pool are an added bonus! We hope to come back soon!

Monica made it all very easy to arrive, check in & really enjoy the week. Homemade pasta & sauce were lovely. The house easy to live in & the pool being so close made for a very relaxing stay. Thank you

Our group of 8 had a great time T this property. Everything we wanted was provided and extra (pasta on arrival and pizza dough) Monica was a brilliant host and the outside eating area/bbq/pizza oven is brilliant. The only downside was that we were not aware that electricity and gas were not included in the price of the reservation.
