Boys said the staff were lovely, meal was exceptional - they had Steak Pie and everything else was great bar the hot water. There seems to be a limit? After around 3 mins the water went stone cold, so don't know if that is a regular issue or not. They would stay again though based on the rest of the experience.

Old and dirty but expensive

Absolutely horrifying experience. Booked a room through Expedia. CC payment was 'held back' to confirm out of country payment. So I rebooked using a different CC. Payment was accepted. Initial CC was then 'accepted'. Hotel REFUSED to release payment from the first CC, forcing me to deal with Expedia which was a nightmare, and never resolved. My problem with Kings Arms, was that the staff was so extremely rude, and non accommodating. Further...we arrived in the late evening..while there was a full, huge dining room serving people food. We were starving, and were denied even a piece of bread! Also told that there were no nearby restaurants open for food. WHAT? SERIOUSLY? SO..we drove around, found a place up the street that took us in for a fabulous dinner. Proprietor at that place told us that the Hotel was KNOWN for providing misinformation and for their rudeness. ON TOP OF THAT...our room was dirty and smelly. I get it...budget lodging in the Highlands is scarce, but the room would have been 'acceptable', had the service been better...location was great. Customer Service was absolutely garish. GARISH. RUDE. RUDE. RUDE!
