For a shoulder season stay this accommodation is perfect. As it's good value for money then and it's not too hot to climb up and down to the town. That might feel more of a challenge when it's mid-summer! We timed it one night and going fairly fast, without stopping, it took us 8 mintutes.
The host is very helpful and the house is spec'd to a lovely high standard. Beds were comfy and showers and bath powerful and lovely. The lounge/dining area is nice and open plan and comfortable. There are TVs in both bedrooms and the lounge. The kitchen facilities are basic but good quality. Note there is not an oven. But there's a nice coffee machine (with pods provided). A very friendly and lovely cleaning lady comes in every day. A problem with the hot water on arrival was swiftly fixed for us. And we were met at the ferry by a taxi driver (arranged by the owner) to take us up to the house.
Symi itself is so beautiful, has so many great restaurants and I would definitely go back and stay at Cedrus Blue. As a former hotel owner and Airbnb host myself I know how hard it is to offer such a good service to clients and be on call for any issues. So well done to the owner and staff for being so hospitable.
Visiting in mid-October we felt the island was much less busy and therefore more relaxing. Everyone, despite no doubt a long hard working summer, was still friendly and welcoming. And we felt priviledged to be around in the quieter time as we almost had our area of the town to ourselves. No neighbours staying and very few people walking past. But still great restaurants within 5 minutes up the steps.
House was perfect for us. But be aware the ceiling in the top bedroom is low. Might be annoying for someone tall. Also the staircase up to the top floor (indeed even up to the whole house) would not suit anyone unfit or infirm. Would recommend this house only for fit adults. Bring mosquito spray if want to sit outside in evenings and keep the flyscreens shut against them and the many cats who try to come in the house! General advice for visting - beaches are at least 20 minutes walk away and note that as of mid-October the taxi ferries to further beaches had stopped running. The ferries are fewer on the timetable too, so check those out before you book to ensure you can get to and from Rhodes or wherever you're coming from. Overall though, I think early October is a great time to visit. Temperatures were still mid-20s, mainly sunny but not too hot to stop you exploring.

The property was very spacious, light and airy. It was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the Nespresso machine was great. Our apartment was refreshed every day with clean towels and the bed remade. Niki was very helpful - a lovely host. The location was great and quiet at this time of the year - October.
It was perfect.

Breathtaking location, very solidly built and tastefully decorated
There was nothing to dislike, extra bathroom storage for all of my ‘essentials’ would have been nice, but it looked like there were improvements being made in the bathroom for future visitors to enjoy.
