This is a fabulous property right on the Grand Canal with its own pontoon and private patio on the canal. Marta the owner and host met us at the property - we were able to take a water taxi from the train station and be dropped at the pontoon - which made handling the luggage through Venice so much easier. Marta is a wonderful host and gave us a thorough briefing about the apartment and the appliances etc. The apartment has been beautifully renovated and is spacious with air-conditioning and beautiful bathrooms. It is better than the photos. The location is perfect - it is on the other side of the canal from St Mark's Square but right next to Academia Bridge - so it is not as busy - but the bridge is only 50 meters away so easy to join all the tourists and walk to St Mark's. There is a restaurant/cafe/bar next door to the apartment and supermarket only few minutes away.
