Hotel Libera Spa et Restaurant Caen Colombelles

Large, clean, comfortable room. Helpful person at reception.

Although "restaurant" is in the title of the hotel, the restaurant doesn't open at weekends. This was the last hotel of 7 that we booked for our trip. There was nothing in the description or the special notes to say the restaurant wasn't open. I'd received a message when I originally booked but unfortunately just checked the booking.com app, that morning. The information is under opening hours but I had no reason to check that. This information should be more clearly stated. The rooms are more of a motel style and my room overlooked the car park, not a garden. The hotel is within a suburban estate on the outside of Caen. It was expensive for room only and nowhere nearby.

Staff were very helpful and polite and sorted any issues quickly. Location was excellent for our needs. The room was clean and functional.

We had to request a change of room as tbe wrong one was allocated. We doned at the new restaurant. The food was fine but tbe service needs some improvement. Replacement of coffee and creamers etc was not done routinely.

Private, supermarket immediately next door. Good sized rooms. Breakfast and dinner were good. Plenty parking.

If the weather is poor you’ll get wet walking from your room to the restaurant
