I cannot recommend Hotel Visualiza enough. It is easily one of the finest luxury hotels in Bulgaria. The location is unbeatable housed in a stunningly refurbished historic building overlooking the Roman Theatre and just a 2 minute walk from the Main Street. Our studio was absolutely amazing, featuring high quality finishes and beautiful design.
However, the true "wow factor" is Hristo at reception. As a seasoned global traveler, I can say his authentic, proud, and caring approach is a rarity. He doesn't offer "commercial" hospitality ,he offers genuine human connection. His welcoming attitude is the best I have ever encountered in Bulgaria, a level of care that simply cannot be taught.
In stark contrast, the restaurant service has not yet reached the hotel's elite standard. Despite being the only ones at breakfast, we were largely ignored. When we tried to return a meat platter to avoid waste (as vegetarians), the staff dismissively told us they "didn't care" and it would "go to the bin anyway."
While this indifference is unfortunately common in many places around the country , it is a jarring mismatch for a hotel of this caliber. Stay here for the stunning rooms and Hristo’s world-class service, but be prepared for the dining room to feel like a different world entirely.

"We had such a wonderful experience with your team. Maria at the front desk welcomed us with a bright smile and was so patient; she even went above and beyond by lending us her personal umbrella! We also want to thank the young gentleman at reception (we didn't catch his name) who was incredibly kind and gentle. He was so patient and wouldn't give up until he was sure we understood exactly how to get to the restaurant. They both made us feel so well-cared for

The hotel is nice, clean and cozy. The rooms are spacious.
No parking at the spot. The nearest offered parking location is about 5 minutes away by car. Only a single card was provided for the room, and an additional card was not given upon request. No balcony as listed in my booking. The shower area is too small. Definitely not a 5-star level hotel.
