What makes someone call their accommodation ‘Treasure Island in the Black Forrest’? These are the things I wonder about when I am looking for a place to spend my holiday at. :)
Upon arrival it quickly became clear because the place lives up to its name in several ways. The apartment is part of a very small group of houses of acquaintances/family, in the middle of nature between the fields and the forest, in a beautiful rolling landscape just outside Loßburg. The views to the left and right of the house are stunning! A real ‘island’ so to speak.
At the house next door, that belongs to the owners, you’ll see some mini sheep, chickens, ducks that babble and chatter all day long. There are also two pigs and three cats that guard the fort.
There is a restored traditional and operational bakery building in their garden along with a greenhouse and a vegetable patch that provides the them with all kinds of delicious fresh veg and fruits. As far as we are concerned, that is the ‘treasure’ in the name of the place.
The home itself is a spacious, loved and well-maintained apartment on the 2nd floor of a larger building. The beds are comfortable, the living room has a big enough couch for a family of four to relax, the kitchen is more than complete, the shower room is spacious as is the balcony.
The owners: Christa and Reinhard are very kind and helpful people. Thank you very much for this wonderful stay, it made our holiday complete and added beautiful memories to our collection!

Die Schatzinsel liegt genau wie beschrieben idyllisch ruhig und etwas außerhalb. Ideal zum abschalten, aber auch ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen und Unternehmungen.
Die Zimmer sind alle sehr großzügig geschnitten und trotz der allgemeinen Hitzewelle war die Wohnung angenehm kühl.
Wir haben uns bei der Familie Schatz rundum wohl gefühlt!

Sehr gepflegte und hochwertige ausgestattete Wohnung. Top Küche, sehr schönes Bad mit ebenerdiger Dusche . Sehr nette und freundliche Gastgeber. Gerne jederzeit wieder.
