Peacefully located in Sussex countryside, this is the ideal retreat for keen walkers, cyclists and visiting many attractions. Overlooking fields and duck pond, it has a covered eating area outside and south-facing sun patio with awning.. 4 steps to entrance.

Really enjoyed staying here. Lots of laminated messages spread across the house reminding you of what you can or can’t do was good. Just two minor comments. Please note that the parking space is much smaller than the photos indicate. We got 2 cars on ok, but you are having to drive on and reverse off at an angle (something that I didn’t get right on a number of occasions), so you would struggle to get 2 large vehicles on there. Also, a little bit of constructive criticism. Although Geoff made himself known to us on the first morning, we never saw Gena at all. Just think it would have been nice to have had that personal touch so that if we had have wanted something, we wouldn’t have been afraid to ask. Like I say, minor quibbles and I certainly wouldn’t put anyone off staying at Well Cottage. It’s an excellent base for exploring, and relaxation with a lovely garden area. 😊

Well cottage is a cosy, comfortable, well presented cottage full of character. Geoff and Gina have gone to great lengths to make their guests feel welcome and have provided everything that you could possibly need. The outside facilities are excellent, unfortunately we were there in winter and were unable to make good use of them. Well cottage is well situated to explore the coast and downs. Geoff’s directions to the cottage from Pease Pottage services are excellent, we ignored the SatNav and found the cottage easily.

A really lovely homely cottage with everything you could possibly need. The owner came to say hello and was very helpful and informative. Many thoughtful touches. Large DVD collection, we used a smart stick and the WiFi worked really well. Kitchen was very well equipped, home from home. We will definitely be visiting again.

A beautifully presented country home with all modern facilities. Everything was well organised and presented. Would definetly recommend this property for access to Sussex and Southern England.
