Te Koha main house - 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom - sleeps 8
The Retreat villa - 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom - sleeps 4
Both within 2 minutes walking distance from each house and set up with all you need for a luxury stay in the beautiful Bay of Islands.
Introducing Te Koha, a sun-drenched, luxury residence overlooking two of NZ's finest beaches.
Te Koha caters for all your needs, whether you stay for two weeks or two nights, this is the perfect space for a group of friends or an extended family to relax and enjoy the 180-degree Pacific Ocean views.
Te koha :
Four large bedrooms each with a luxury ensuite bathroom have access to a private area of Te Koha’s wrap-around deck. Each guest has their own space to relax on luxury outdoor furniture, soaking in the stunning sea views across the bays.
Te Koha is cleverly designed for all seasons with multiple living spaces to entertain and relax both inside and out. Gather in the large living area in front of the wood burning fireplace in winter or enjoy the cool and airy indoor/outdoor flow in summer.
The Retreat:
The open plan kitchen has a dining table that flows into the living room.
In the evening, cuddle up on the sofa and watch a movie on the 56” surround sound tv.
Two large bedrooms with stunning sea views, each have a luxury ensuite bathroom, separate shower and a sunken bath.
Both houses:
Your comfort is our priority with comfortable mattresses, Egyptian cotton sheets, super fluffy towels, bath robes and luxury toiletries.
A short stroll leads from a private garden to three stunning sandy beaches where you can safely swim, snorkel, fish, dive, or kayak. We provide beach towels and bags so everything is catered for.
EV Charging is available too, with a dedicated Tesla wall charger.
The renowned Kauri Cliffs Golf Course with its fine dining restaurant is a 12 minutes’ drive away, and for something more relaxed after a day at the beach, Matauri Bay Fish and Chip shop and Whangaroa fishing club is a 10 minute drive.

The property views are much better in person than pictures can provide. We golfed daily at bay of the islands, Waitangi and twice at world famous Kauri cliffs, a mere 10 minutes away. The views from these two houses are substantially better than Kauri Cliffs at a fraction of the cost. The best part of,the house is the excellent treatment by Angela and her husband making us truly at home and providing great leads for local transportation and dinner catering. She and her husband did the morning catering. Excellent food and service fulfilled all our needs. Put this on your list. It is worth the trip up from Auckland.

A group of friends and I immensely enjoyed everything about this property, from the spectacular views, the expansive deck, the spacious rooms, open layout, and easy access to the beach. A couple folks were also in the separate guesthouse, which offered a complete stand-alone unit with kitchen, deck, etc.
