Beach house is very modern, extremely spacious and comfortable with plenty of bathrooms in a great situation if you are looking to get away from it all. Views are magnificent from living areas and master bedroom. Just a short walk to great beach, which we had all to ourselves (though it would be much busier in summer I would think with a camp ground at the other end). Good wifi. Easy drive to Cape Reinga and walks at the top of the north.
Private track to beach a bit overgrown with bushes and could be a problem if you were unsteady on your feet, but was no real problem for us and we are a retired couple. Good range of tea and coffee available, but no milk supplied so bring your own with your other groceries. (Not really in the “didn’t like” category, but nearest shop 15-20 mins drive away, so good to know.)
