Fortune Hotel, Huddersfield West Yorkshire, Sure Collection by Best Western

The location of this hotel was excellent as it was away from the town centre and we were surrounded by beautiful views of the countryside. The hotel was next to a beautiful country pub which meant we did not need to go far at all to enjoy a delicious meal. The room was spacious and very clean. The breakfast was the perfect amount of food for the morning (a hot filled roll, fresh fruit, yoghurt and pastries). As the hotel shares the car park with the pub next door there is excellent parking facilities.

We only stayed one night and did not find anything that we did not like about this hotel.

Easy check in/out, pleasant staff, felt safe as a female sole traveller

Flying bugs in the bathroom x3, not enough to alert staff but disconcerting

Ease of check in and location. The staff members were very helpful and nothing was too much bother

The rooms could do with a deep clean. They are not filthy but could benefit from this

Breakfast was okay, and the location was easy to find. Couldn't hear the M62, as we had the window in our room closed. The staff were pretty helpful, but I feel as though they could have been a bit more prompt in answering the buzzer.

The WiFi kept dropping in and out, and I had to keep signing in again, each morning, plus we couldn't get all the channels we were hoping for on the TV in our room. I think the room should have already had a fan in.
