This villa was one of the very best we've ever rented. It was just as shown in the images. Very new, modern and clean with excellent facilities and space throughout. Our hosts were extremely welcoming and helpful throughout our stay.When we arrived, I was a little concerned that we'd chosen somewhere quite remote, as it's on the outskirts of the small town of Perama. But those fears were unfounded. There were lots of beautiful little beach villages in the area worth exploring, the closest of which are Bali Beach and Evita Bay, which are both gorgeous. Bali Beach is the larger of the two with a wide sandy beach and sand seabed, whereas Evita Bay is quite a bit smaller with a mix of pebble and sand. But Evita has some wonderful little coves within swimming distance for anyone over the age of 8-years old (accompanied, of course). We also loved going out to dinner at Paramos, which doesn't have the best beach, but makes up for with lovely tavernas.Rethymno is only 35 minutes away by car. The beach there is okay, nothing special, but the large town itself has hundreds of tavernas ranging from intimate ones to high-end expensive ones overlooking the sea front. The old town there is beautiful with winding streets and alleyways full of shops and bars. And there's also some really fantastic looking bar/clubs if you're a little younger than I am!Overall, Crete was one if not the best holiday our family has been on and I can't recommend the place or the villa enough!!!

We had a beautiful stay in this property, the house, the garden and pool are kept to an amazingly high standard. The rooms had effective air conditioning and were comfortable. I have already recommended the house to family.As a side note, we took trips with Lottie Watersports (15 mins from the house), which we all really enjoyed.Also, a great restaurant (that delivers) the cooks the most wonderful greek dishes is just down the road and which we would recommend.

Wonderful Villa in a peaceful setting

This house (Villa Georgios) was probably the closest you can get to perfect for our way of spending holidays. It is very well designed with air condition in every room and nicely furnished. The living room really invites you to spend time there and it has a large Sat-TV as well as a large table for dining or playing board games. Also the three bedrooms are very nice (also with a Sat-TV each). Here is one small caveat only - the upstairs bedrooms each have two single beds only. We would have appreciated a double bed in the bedroom that goes out to the terrace on first floor.
The surrounding of the house is really beautiful with places all around the house to spend your time either in the sun or in the shade at any time of the day and it is well lighted but still cosy during the night.
There is are barbecue place and a large table under a pergola with sun shades. Really perfect for sitting there. Beneath the pool, there also other offers for children to play (a swing, a slide and a small "tree house" as well as a pingpong table and softball set).
The hosts are very welcoming and friendly. As already pointed out in other comments, a really very tasty Moussaka was waiting for us at our arrival (still hot in the oven) and the lunch table was nicely set. The fridge was really stocked with everything that you would need for the first two days and there was also excellent wine and olive oil from their own produce (and raki also).
The house is situated in a olive wood on a hill just outside of Perama. It is quite there with a scenic view on the coastal hills and you can even see the sea. 10 minutes drive brings you to the coast and beach at Panormos (small village with several nice restaurants and everything a tourist needs). We liked the restaurant "Kastro" very much.
Rethymnon center is about 40 minutes drive to the west, Chania about 1h 20minutes. To the east, you drive about 1 hours to Iraklio and about 1h 20minutes to Agios Nikolaos.
Driving the the cities and beaches in the south take 2 h and more. It took us close to 3 h to Elafonisi with its famous beach. All in all, the villa is situated near perfectly from the view of sightseeing.
We were really very happy with our choice and we spend a very nice and relaxing holiday.
