About this house rental
This beautiful villa, located on a hill and with a wonderful view of the Libyan Sea, is a house in traditional Cretan style.
The house has two floors with different entrances connected by an external staircase. 5 bedrooms, 2 living rooms, 2 bathrooms and 2 kitchens can accommodate a family or a group of friends with 10 people. The kitchen is very well equipped with all amenities.
Located in the southern part of the Rethimno region, the villa is ideal for guests seeking tranquility and an ideal base for excursions to explore some of the best beaches in the area. Get to know the local gastronomy in the many coastal villages.

Roomy, airy and comfortable and fabulously well equipped. This is a very quiet part of Crete and you need to drive everywhere but it is totally worth it. This home (split level as two large apartments so the two of us only used the ground floor) has been beautifully developed and the outside space in particular is absolutely gorgeous and the views BREATHTAKING . The area has fabulous local beaches well worth exploring as long as you are okay driving on twisty turny roads. One bizarre incident I must share is our relationship with neighbouring Vrachos Villas (a small low key resort of villas built round a central swimming pool).We were told we had use of the pool but the lady manager was less than keen (Covid trotted out as an excuse even though the place was deserted 95% of the time). The kind owner of our villa telephoned her and sorted out permission for us to have the occasional dip. Well two days later we were admonished by text that one of us (my partner) stood accused of exposing his buttocks while changing at the totally deserted pool (apparently my towel technique was acceptable but his 3 second rear exposure wasn’t) I thought I was in a Monty Python sketch it was so off the wall ridiculous. God help ‘madam moral outrage’ if she ever gets a look at the priapic frescoes at Knossos. Anyway future guests be warned but who knows, in the wake of our fleeting flesh exposure, she may instal Victorian bathing machines next year.
Anyway that aside if quiet, peaceful, scenic gorgeousness is your thing then go ahead and book this amazing place ( one minor suggestion would be to instal more comfortable lounge furniture in the upstairs apartment) but overall 9.9 out of 10
