About this house rental
Located less than a block from Tacoma's best restaurant and bar scene on 6th Avenue, this completely remodeled 100-year old house is packed full of 1950s americana, including a 1950 Seeburg jukebox wired to the backyard speakers, authentic 1952 Ford billboard poster, restored vintage appliances, and a completely over the top tiki bedroom. This place packs a ton of style in a small package.
We remodeled this one ourselves, including restoring all the vintage appliances. It was a lot of work, but we hope you'll agree it paid off!
There is parking in back for two vehicles, accessible via a keypad-protected large sliding gate. Beds consist of one king and one queen. There is no dining room, but there is a ton of room in the backyard for socially-distanced hangouts. The backyard table can comfortably seat 8, and the outdoor sectional can comfortably seat 5. TV has access to Netflix, ESPN, Disney Plus, HBO Go, and Hulu. Bookcase has lots of games, including Cards Against Humanity, Settlers of Catan, Monopoly, Taboo, Scattergories.
Guests get access to the whole property--house, yard, etc.
Due to parking limitations in the neighborhood, we recommend parking in the back where there are two parking spots off the alley. The code lock is on the back door.

I had a WONDERFUL stay in the Retro 6th Ave cottage! Check-in was easy and there is secure parking with gated access to the back yard. A welcome basket with snacks made in the NorthWest greeted me at the door. Vintage decor touches in every room were both fun and comfortable. Host Jenni was amazing! She checked in on me several times throughout my stay and was available for anything I needed. There are tons of restaurants and shops within walking distance too! I will definitely be staying here again when visiting Tacoma!

Fun little retro house. Exactly as the listing shows, but it's good to be aware it's an older home- the kitchen is functional but very retro, the living room is cozy but small, and the only place to eat is outside. If you're mostly eating out or getting takeout it's great, if you're planning to do a lot of cooking or hang out inside it's a small space. All in the listing, just good to be aware!

We loved the vintage decor of the cottage and it was sparking clean! It was comfortably furnished with mid century style and we enjoyed playing the jukebox ! The kitchen was very well stocked, as was the bathroom. We walked down the block to Primo Grill for dinner, which had great food and service. I really liked having our car off the street in the gated back entrance and the cottage itself felt very safe and secure. We would definitely recommend!
