Esperienza fantastica. Lorenza e il marito sono di una simpatia e gentilezza rara. La casa è molto bella nel vecchio borgo dei pescatori. Girare il borgo è come vivere una magia. La tranquillità a due passi, veramente due passi dal centro di Rimini. Torneremo sicuramente.

This house is a jewel box. It is important to understand that this is a small old refurbished townhouse in an ancient district of Rimini, with its charm and some drawbacks as well. On the ground floor there is a living room with kitchen and table, plus a bathroom. On the first floor, there is a proper bedroom and a bathroom. The second floor is actually an attic with low ceiling and limited comfort because of that. There is no smell in the house, bed clothes were sparkling white, overall the place was very clean. The location is amazing to discover Rimini old town, but the first beach is a 20 min walk away through the city. Yet, you can immerse in a typical Italian medieval atmosphere - while having all the comfort of today. Be prepared that tourists will stop by at the house and take photos of it regardless you are at home or not :) And if you seek for a more relaxed, less crowded and commercial beach experience, drive out to 'Spiaggia Le Colonie' next to Colonia Marina Bolognese. Yes, maybe it is 18 mins drive, but you save 10 mins just because you don't have to seek for a parking place. And the beach is great!
Absolutely not negatives, but you need to consider this when choosing this place:
- Kitchen equipment is somewhat limited, we missed a microwave oven to warm up food and a kettle for the morning tea. Survival guide for the morning: head out for Caffè Ducale, 5 min walk, wonderful service, and a quality coffee you'll never be able to beat at home, no matter what.
- Living space is rather small in these houses due to their history. I would recommend it for a family of 2 adults and 2 kids max. As others mention, privacy is limited, there is only a thin wooden floor between the bedroom on the first floor and the bedroom in the attic. The sofa bed on the ground floor is usable only for 1 person.
- Parking: with some luck, in July we could always find free street parking in front of Scuola elementare Materna Statale ''Decio Raggi'' - cca 3 min away from the house. But you cannot drive up to the house, you need a special permit for that.
