A lovely property. It was very easy to communicate with Angela to pick up the keys on arrival. I was surprised how comfortable the sofa bed was. It was useful that there was a toilet room on the mezzanine level. There were all cleaning supplies we needed so we could keep it clean and tidy. It was very convenient for the Via Independenza, my favourite area. Literally a few paces away are a meat shop, bakery, fresh pasta shop, Tiella shop, sweet shop, patisserie and several fruit and veg shops. Bar Santos is recommended for breakfast, about 3 streets away and where locals go. Down the road is place that sells pizza by the slice. Going on to the sea front there is Bar Hermes and a small shop that sells eggs cheese, milk and dried goods. There are larger supermarkets nearby and a big Conad on the way out of Gaeta. An useful addition to the facilities would be a shopping bag or trolley (sacchetto/carrello per la spesa)
There were few books including one in English about Gaeta on the bookshelf. There is a washing machine , but no microwave. This was not a problem for us as we either cooked or ate out.
The shower room was spacious and there was an independent heater high on the wall which you could plug in and heat the room before you showered.
We will return for sure.
It is difficult to find things we did not like as we had a great stay . However, we found the HVAC ( wall mounted air conditioner/heater) challenging as there were no instructions. I managed to find some on the internet. However the position of the unit high on the wall meant that the mezzanine got well heated, and the ground floor remained cold. (this has been an issue in another property we stayed at in Gaeta with similar layout.)
It would be useful to have folder in Italian and English about the working of the machines dishwasher/washing/HVAC/ bathroom heater/electric fuse box as well as photo list of shops and restaurants nearby
The kitchen entrance to the Bar Hermes is directly opposite from Minu. There was occasional noise of deliveries and some noise form the bar itself but nothing was excessive. As I say, the stay in Minu was lovely and we will be happy to return.

La struttura è perfetta in tutto!! Sia per una famiglia di 4 persone, sia per una coppia che vuole fare una piccola fuga nella splendida Gaeta.
