About this house rental
The apartment in the heart of the medieval town of Chianni was completely redesigned in 2018 and completely restored. The apartment is at ground level from the parking lot, has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, dining and living area. There is a terrace in front of the dining area. In the distance, Volterra rises from the hilly landscape, glowing in the sun during the day or sparkling at night.
The accommodation

The apartment for 4 people has a total area of about 77 square meters. The entrance area leads to the open living room, which typically includes the kitchen and the dining room.
The bedrooms are separated on the 1st Upper floor and each have their own shower room.
The lovingly decorated interior of the house contains individual antiques.
The equipment includes a stove with oven, a large refrigerator, a dishwasher and other kitchen utensils such as kettle, toaster and Nespresso coffee machine, etc. There is a washing machine in one of the bathrooms
A satellite television is installed in the living room, WiFi is available throughout the apartment as well as air conditioning (equipment: "tutto compreso").
Public and free parking spaces are located in the immediate vicinity below the house.
The cleaning of the houses must be paid in cash after the stay (90 €). Electricity costs based on consumption.
The face of this region is characterized by gentle hills. A paradise of silence stretches along the coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea in wild, mostly untouched nature. Initially, the road follows the gently rolling hills through tiny villages, cypresses, old natural stone houses as well as the remote country houses on top of the hills. Juniper and myrtle forests pass by.
Already in spring, red poppy carpets cover the still green valleys and hills, later, when the summer spreads its heat over the country, the fields shine in the bright yellow of the sunflowers sprouting everywhere. Late autumn bathes the landscape in the dark red of the leaves and grapes. The harvest season appears as a long festival.
Chianni lies in the middle of the pleasant, lonely hilly landscape. Here you will find peace, relaxation and security. In the tranquil place itself there are all shops for daily needs: baker, butcher, newsagents, bank, post office, hotel, two restaurants, two bars, hairdresser, doctor, pharmacy, shops for daily needs etc.
Chianni is the ideal starting point to explore the most interesting places and landscapes in Tuscany. Visit the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, the towers in San Gimignano, the Field of Miracles in Pisa, Piazza del Campo in Siena, explore the city walls of Lucca and the Ombra della Sera in Volterra - or visit the wide, white beaches of the Tyrrhenian Sea at Vada, Castiglioncello or Tirrenia.

The best way to move around in medieval Chianni is on foot; there are few parking spaces. There is a public, free parking lot directly below the house. There are bus connections from Chianni to Pontedera and to Rosignano Marrittimo. In Pontedera there is a train connection to Pisa & Florence.

The property had plenty of space inside and out. A great view from the upper balcony and a lovely patio for outside eating. Tastefully furnished with antique furniture. The manager was there. To help with whatever we needed. Highly recommend Chianni as a place to stay.
