About this villa rental
Milatos Heights is pretty unique, here we have a modern completely detached private Villa standing in its own grounds with its own Pool and Parking, enjoying an elevated position overlooking Milatos Beach for a couple to enjoy a romantic, away from it all, holiday in complete privacy at a very sensible cost, why pay for 2 / 3 bedrooms and use only one ? Welcome pack on arrival Bread egg's fresh orange bottled water and a bottle of wine of your choice.
The large glass sliding doors on the front elevation of both the Lounge and the Master Bedroom afford beautiful, ever changing sea and rural, views whether you are enjoying your morning tea or coffee in bed or a cold beer later on one of the terraces table and chairs to both terraces.
The unique design of the villa, which is open plan, means that you enjoy light and airy rooms, the large sliding doors offer a seamless transition between the outside and indoor space they combine to create the impression of a much larger villa, certainly more than enough for room for four people to enjoy the villa and to relax in comfort.
The accommodation consists of a two storey detached villa, the ground floor has a lounge, dining area and galley style fully fitted kitchen. Comfortable corner settee to main living area plus large matching settee to rear of living area. There is also a guest cloakroom for your convenience.
The fully fitted UK sourced integrated Kitchen includes a full size oven, four ring hob, microwave, fridge-freezer and washing machine, means that catering at home is a simple task and you don't even have to wash up afterwards, the integrated dishwasher will do that for you !
For your entertainment there is a flat screen TV. DVD player and radio player which is also a docking station for an i-phone/pad. There are dvd's, books and games and for those who can't exist without technology there is also a fully secure free WFI, the Villa has its own modem and password.
Upstairs there is a large bedroom complete with a comfortable king size bed double wardrobe with drawers and a chest of drawers and an en-suite wet-room which has a toilet, wash basin and multi jet shower. Beside the first floor bedroom there are sofa beds to the ground floor with an en'suite bathroom so two guests can easily be accommodated.
There is an air conditioning unit in the bedroom to ensure a good nights sleep and one at the rear of the living area downstairs, both controlled by timers .
There are two terraces, one outside the lounge which gives access to the private pool and one outside the first floor bedroom which is not overlooked and is a nice place to sit and watch the world go by.
An electric sunblind gives shade to the ground floor terrace.
For al fresco dining there is a glass topped dining table and chairs, for the sun worshipers there are loungers and to relax there are two comfortable chairs which complete the outdoor furniture.
A large barbeque and cooking utensils are provided.
The pool is Private for your use only, it is accessed via steps from the terrace and is a constant 1.2 metres deep.
What’s about ?
The villa is located in between two sea front villages, Milatos Beach which is visible from the house, this is quieter and less commercialised than Sissi which is about the same distance in the other direction.
For quiet eating and a drink served by the very attentive owners of the restaurants Milatos is the best choice, if you need somewhere a little busier with a greater choice or restaurants and coffee shops along with a pharmacy, bakery, ATM’s and supermarkets then head for Sissi.
If you need seriously busy then Malia, about 7 kms away, this was the youngsters resort and the place to be seen if you were 18 - 30, over the last 10 years it’s popularity has diminished somewhat but if you steer clear of August it now offers a choice expected from a small town.

We thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing week at Milatos Heights. The villa is very comfortable and in a lovely location overlooking the sleepy fishing village of Milatos Beach. There is a handful of excellent tavernas by the sea (we tried most of them during our stay), plus another in the centre of Milatos itself and one in nearby Epano Sisi .
We found the location to be perfect for us, in this peaceful corner of Crete. There is plenty to see within a short drive, such as Agios Nikolaos, Spinalonga (we took the short boat trip from Plaka), Malia Minoan Palace and the Lasithi Plateau.
There are a couple of very well stocked supermarkets in nearby Sissi, and the two mini markets in Milatos Beach are fine for essentials.
Our hosts, Lynn and Carl were there to welcome us on arrival, and were very responsive to any questions we had during our stay. Overall we can highly recommend this villa.

I believe that this was the best accommodation we've ever had in Europe. Very nice villa, has everything for the nice holiday. The villa was very clean and beautiful, really homey and had all the equipment (most of which brand new) one would need. The owners are very charming and extremely nice! They were always ready to help and added to our happy holiday. I would recommend the place for a couple who wants to have a little getaway from the crowds and enjoy quiet evenings overlooking the stunning view! Romantic and relaxing atmosphere guaranteed!
