This is an impeccably renovated village house, and well equipped. Ideal for two, very private & overlooked only by goats and the occasional inquisitive eagle flying overhead.
Good living space, bedroom, bathroom & additional loo in the laundry room.
Petros & Marianna could hardly be more welcoming or generous with gifts of honey, fruit, eggs & fish & wine.
The village has suffered from a population shift to the towns, and many houses are unoccupied, but some renovation is taking place.
There are three tavernas within east walking distance but descent to the plateia is fairly steep. Choice of food is very limited but the welcome is warm.
One tiny shop in the village. For general purposes a drive to Neapoli, Malia or Agios Nicolaos is necessary if you want to cook for yourselves.
A lovely place to stay if you value privacy & peace, but access is not the easiest - quite steep paths both from where you leave the car, and down to the village.
Cretan hospitality abounds.
