A quietly located and lovingly furnished holiday apartment in the heart of the small town of Steinbach-Hallenberg. The apartment has been exceptionally furnished by the landlord with a great deal of creativity and craftsmanship. If you like the chic and practical decor in the apartment, be sure to speak to the landlord: some items are available for purchase as souvenirs. Enjoy breakfast in the beautiful, rustically landscaped garden and leave everyday life behind. The idyllic location in the heart of the Thuringian Forest Nature Park offers mountain hikes in the Rennsteig region and cycling excursions. For a day trip, visit the Marienglas Cave between Tabarz and Friedrichroda, the miniature park in Ruhla, or Gotha with Friedenstein Castle. The only negatives I can say about this property is: 1. The pictures make you assume there is a back sore in the property leading onto the garden,when in fact you have to leave the apartment and walk 30m past owners house/garage/parking area to reach this ‘secret garden’ which in turn is beautiful and peaceful with seating area, sun loungers and bar area as well as a little pond!
2. There was no washing machine for washing our clothes or iron & ironing board which both would have been useful as we stayed for longer than a week.

Now the property is easy to access, beautifully laid out inside, very spacious and comfortable.
The owners are although do not speak very much English (we should learn more German)very welcoming and extremely helpful. Alice is a great host along with her daughter Melissa & beautiful granddaughter Emily, very entertaining.
The apartment is a great location for exploring Steinbach and surrounding areas.
Close to tourist information centre, shops,takeaway and bars in this lovely sleepy town.

Es fehlte uns an nichts, der Kontakt zu den Vermietern war sehr nett, herzlichen Dank, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.
