This was one of my all time favourite stays. The staff was simply wonderful and upgraded me for free to a larger room with a balcony and phenomenal views of the lake and the town. The location was 10/10 and the breakfast was huge. I would always stay here again. It was simply magical.

The owner is so nice. The location is ok.
No elevator. If you have many heavy luggages, you need to carry up the small stairs. The room is spacious with 2 separated bedrooms for our group.

Hallstatt has been taken out of an Austrian fairytale book. Pension Leopoldine is a small family run guest house in a great location. Very clean and comfy with everything you need in a shared kitchen of sorts (no sink, oven etc). My room had a balcony and gorgeous view of the village (a brass band literally played me to sleep!). The staff were very helpful.
The shared bathroom situation is not ideal but it’s ok.
