The location was great, nice surroundings.
We had evening meal and breakfast delivered to the suite and the food was all exceptional! Plus gluten free options were great.
Beds were very comfortable.
Kitchen had everything we needed.
Lovely and warm.
Sauna was great.
Staff v friendly and accommodating.
Cobwebs! Quite a lot..even on the kitchen wall.
Enamel was cracking in the bath

I travel to the UK quite a bit for work and typically stay elsewhere when I'm in this area. This was my first stay at Horsley. I can say very honestly it will NOT be my last. I loved the location, the staff was excellent, all the meals I had were top notch and the wi-fi was awesome. 100% recommend and will stay again.
Only two items stay in my memory but they weren't show stoppers. The TV in the room simply didn't work to get a signal. Maybe the largest complaint, if it registers that high on the scale, was the way you need to enter the hotel after hours. Its hard to describe really.... IMO this needs to be upgraded ASAP. :) I didn't register a complaint with anyone because it wasn't that bothersome,

Beautiful location and golf club, barn cottage, £150 for one night, had multiple bugs, dead and alive
In the guest book it clearly stated ALL GUESTS HAVE A BREAKFAST INCLUDED WITH THEIR STAY. We were then charged at breakfast, when we went to take a picture of the book stating this and came back, the staff said, "oh yeah, I forgot to take that out", they refused to refund the breakfast and were just quite rude. The house (cottage barn) was one of the most expensive rooms, when we arrived there was multiple bugs - dead and alive so it xlearly hadn't been cleaned - the spa bath was freezing and didn't have great instructions however after looking it up online, we worked this out.
