About this house rental
Casa Astride is a romantic and welcoming cottage which faces the sun and the sea. It sleeps two people. From Casa Astride you will enjoy a wonderful view of the sea, of Praiano and the coast of Amalfi. Casa Astride is 50 square meters (540 square feet). It features a private swimming pool, a panoramic private terrace with a view of the sea, air conditioning (please read description below to check in which rooms the units are installed), winter heating and WI-FI Internet access.
You will be in a pedestrian precinct, at a short distance from the center of Praiano, where you will find restaurants, shops and public transportation. You will find the closest restaurant at 500 meters (550 yards), a grocery store, the stop for the Flavio Gioia bus Positano - Praiano line a few meters (feet) away and the closest beach (Marina di Praia Beach) at 1.5 km (roughly 1 mile). You will reach Casa Astride from the parking area going down a short walkway that includes approximately 35 stairway steps.
You will not need a car to stay at Casa Astride. If you do have one, you will be able to park it nearby, free of charge in a private parking lot. The parking space is suitable for at most one car.
Please kindly note. The rental price includes: air conditioning; linens, changed mid-week; towels, changed twice a week; electricity.Available upon request: parking. To be paid at the property:final cleaning EUR 300.00.Available for a fee, if desired:continental breakfast EUR 30.00/person per day;check-in after 8 pm EUR 80.00. Swimming Pool
The swimming pool is 4 meters (13 feet) large by 6 meters (20 feet) long. The area is equipped with a table, chairs, a sun umbrella and deck chairs. From the swimming pool you will enjoy a spellbinding view of the sea. The pool is open from mid-April until the end of September. Please kindly note that although the swimming pool is for your private use it is not secluded since the house is surrounded by other accommodations.
Terrace
The terrace is 70 square meters (750 square feet) large. It is equipped with a table, chairs, two deck chairs and an external shower. From the terrace you will enjoy an enchanting view of the sea and of the coastline.
Living Room
The living room is paved with terracotta tiles. The furnishings are elegant and refined, featuring some antique pieces. Here you will find a matrimonial bed (160 cm/63 inches, wider than a queen-size bed), as well as two armchairs and a desk. In this room you will find a television (local channels). From the living room you will be able to enter the terrace with a view of the sea through a French door. Here you will also find a mini refrigerator.
Kitchen
You will be able to enter the kitchen from the living room. The kitchen has no door, but it is closed by a curtain. It is equipped with a four-burner gas cooker, an electric oven, a small refrigerator with freezer, a microwave oven and an Italian-style coffee-maker. Here you will also find a washing machine. The dining table can accommodate two guests.
Bathroom
The bathroom is tiled with lucid white and blue majolica tiles and equipped with a washbasin, a toilet, a fully enclosed shower and a hairdryer. You will be able to enter the bathroom from the living room.

Agree with all the comments on previous reviews. The pool was small but lovely, very refreshing and clean. Amazing outdoor area just for us, all with comfortable furniture and awesome views.
Inside the facilities were very good and the many extras in the kitchen were appreciated. The host and gardener were very quick to resolve any minor issue and provide excellent advise about the area. Sara's recommendations for restaurants were all exceptional.
Praiano is so peaceful compared to Positano and Amalfi and very friendly. This place was expensive but worth it.

Casa Astride was the perfect place for us to spend two weeks on the Amalfi Coast. The view is amazing, it is centrally located in Praiano, has all the amenities we needed, and the host provided excellent recommendations for dining and water guides.

Agree with all the comments on previous reviews. The pool was small but lovely, very refreshing and clean. Amazing outdoor area just for us, all with comfortable furniture and awesome views. Inside the facilities were very good and the many extras in the kitchen were appreciated. The host / gardener were very quick to resolve any minor issue and provide excellent advise about the area. Sarah's recommendations for restaurants were all exceptional. Praiano is so peaceful compared to Positano and Amalfi and very friendly.
This place was expensive but worth it. The agent/company was informative, however, a cleaning fee of €300 in addition is too high, especially considering we were only two people in one bedroom/living room for a few nights.

After Rome and Venice, we stayed for 6 nights of our honeymoon and enjoyed the absolute beauty of the view and peace and quiet of the location. Multiple terraces overlooking the sea and a private pool. With a fully equipped kitchen and markets within walking distance we enjoyed cooking many meals in the villa.
The bus stop is very close should you want to visit other towns on the coast without staying in the chaos of Positano or Amalfi. We interacted with mostly locals and truly enjoyed the less touristy vibe. We took a boat cruise to Capri which was lovely and hiked Path of the Gods from Praiano.
Outstanding villa and hosts. Highly recommend.
