Hotel Villa Maria

Room was a good size, beds were very comfy, checking in staff were nice as was the chap who met us at the property. We had breakfast which was nice but simple. View was pretty from the balcony. Room had a fridge, safe, and all of the amenities you would expect. Great aircon and the location (albeit up a hill) was lovely, if you carried on up that hill there was some great views and a church which eventually leads to the path to Jamaica beach (closed out of season).

Our room had quite a number of ants. If you're going to spend more time in the room than basic sleeping i wouldn't recommend. The TV was tiny and too small for the room. There is little to no sound proofing and the property gave a hostel vibe meaning that there were quite a few people coming and going at all hours being quite loud, due to this i didn't sleep very well at all. Can't use the pool at the sister hotel where you check in etc.

The size of the room and the view to lake was really great. Just stay only one night but we will come back. The parking space was also good, and the cleanless of the room was also perfect. Breakfast was also delicious.

The location, tucked away from the crowds. And also, cats all over the place.

Hot water pressure was terrible. Hopefully just our room. Wasn’t a deal breaker as it was super hot and we mostly took cold showers during our visit. But the hotel should look into room 11.

Lovely spot out of the busy area clean and friendly

No coffee making in room only available when kitchen is open. Ran out of water in vending machine, no water in room. Water is a necessity not luxury had to go to sister hotel to buy a bottle of water for €5 as machine was empty and didn’t refill it for a couple of days
