We visit Norfolk three times a year and stay here because it is good value for price and location. The double superior rooms are a good size as is the bathroom facilities. Decor is a bit dated, but the place is clean, friendly and serves a good breakfast.

The staff were pleasant and helpful, the food was good and it was relatively quiet.
Service of food was quick, all food was tasty and well presented and the waiting staff were pleasant and helpful.
My initial room wasn’t great, so I asked to be moved. The room had an issue that meant it smelt like urine. Maintenance went to ‘sort it’ but only put the extractor fan on. Thankfully, I was put into an upgraded room, which was a bonus.
Whilst the food was good - most things on the menu include a surcharge - so, even if you’ve paid for dinner - you end up paying a bit more.
Whilst the pool facilities looked good (I didn’t use it) - the gym facilities weren’t as I expected, it’s very small in there, equipment fairly dated and you can’t do a full workout.

Breakfast was good as was dinner. Gym and pool satisfactory, although there were times when classes were held in the pool which meant there was only the "swimmers" lane open. Staff very good and friendly and our room was an excellent size with good facilities. We also used the park & ride service into Norwich which is under a quarter mile from the hotel, and cost much less than the parking charges in Norwich.
We were on a 4-night stay, Monday to Friday. Unfortunately the spa wasn't open on the Monday or Tuesday, although this wasn't mentioned on the brochure e-mailed to us. I assume the breakfast and dinner times will change during the peak season, but we found the time breakfast finished meant we had to get up earlier than we really wanted. The room wasn't cleaned on a daily basis, but if you needed something like clean towels of coffee mugs these were provided.

The location of the hotel is easy to find and located close to many smaller towns and only 15 mins drive to Norwich town centre
The hotel sign could be lit up at night time / evening to make it clearly seen from the road. The breakfast was nice but overcooked. The room should be cleaned more thoroughly. (E.g surfaces dusting, mold on the windows, mud and red stain on the bedding, tea stain on the walls) when we walked into the room it don’t feel clean. Also the swimming pool is partially let swimming and fitness schools so it’s hard to swim and enjoy it as a family. The free swimming could be only enjoyed from 6.30-8pm. Children under 16 years old are not allowed to use steam and saunas. This is not mentioned anywhere. The beds were too small for a family of 4, pillows were uncomfortable and only two towels initially provided for a booking of 4. The staff were very nice and supported us with all questions. Staff of the hotel should be more attentive to their own rules for example not eating food in the hall / reception area, managing outside noise promptly and preventing illegal smoking on the hotel premises.
