We had a beautiful room overlooking the water. Decor was neutral and welcoming with lots of soft cushions a throw and comfy chairs in the window. We had an en-suite which is exactly what we needed. Tea and coffee provided with a kettle in our room, plenty for our stay. Lots of storage space and plenty of mirrors to bounce around the light ad get ready to go out.Permit parking was secured in advance and on the next street. The hotel is conveniently located to walk straight into the city center for food,drinks and shopping.
Some squeaky floorboards.Paint peeling in places. My partners side of the mattress was not comfortable, i didn't realise there was a difference until morning when he mentioned that his back hurt. curtains were beautiful but could have done with being black out. None of these things would deter us from booking again or recommending to others.

Staff were great. Very good, handy location for the Railway Station. Breakfast was really good and great value for money.
Difficult to have a shared bathroom but not a great hardship. Some traffic noise from the main road but not much the Hotel can do about that.

I didn't order breakfast. Everything was lovely - room, towels, location - except for ONE really BIG thing.
I didn't have hot water in the shower. (There was hot water in the wash basin, but not the shower). Lovely shower gels were available, but no hot water! I arrived in the afternoon to go to a party. I showered in water that was tepid at best. I let the water run for a very long time. I thought it was because it was the afternoon. We left in haste. The next morning, there was no hot water again. I let it run for ages. By the time you realise that you have no hot water, you are already undressed and don't want to get dressed again to look for reception. My friend was in a different room and said the same.
