This is a beautiful place to stay! The old post office of Ghent has been exquisitely renovated to become a luxurious and memorable hotel which has a wonderful feel to it from the moment you enter. The reception staff are fabulous, made us feel very welcome and were happy to help with any questions and recommendations. Our room was absolutely lovely and tastefully decorated with beautiful furnishings and so many thoughtful touches (tea & coffee provisions, a yoga mat!, a board game to play if you were inclined to stay in, just to name a few). The bed is huge and comfortable with gorgeous linens and there are lovely towels and toiletries in the bathroom. Breakfast matches the quality of the rest of this wonderful hotel. A lot of effort has gone into making this a very special place and it has certainly paid off!
It is perhaps on the pricey side to stay here but most definitely worth it!

Parking - There is no parking in the hotel, but they rent a few parking places in a garage not far from the hotel. Located in a narrow side street, the garage is a bit difficult to find for the first time.

Location, view, style
All perfect! The name in Booking.com strangely is Porter’s House. But it’s called Post hotel 1889 so we had some trouble finding the entrance.
