About this house rental
Recent house (2009) located near a Provençal village that remains authentic, 20 km from Aix en Provence, in a haven of calm. Ideal for rest.
Large garden of 6000m², with a dominant view. The swimming pool is a pool of natural water, purified by plants and without any chemical product, close to the water of a lake. Its dimensions of 15m * 4m allow you to really swim, and its wooden deck to sunbathe.
The house has satellite TV, wifi and all the comforts for a great vacation. Bioclimatic house design: good insulation and cooling ensured by Mediterranean wells. Not overlooked.
3 spacious bedrooms with each shower and sink, + 1 very large bedroom on the ground floor overlooking the pool, with its bathroom.
Large wooden terrace in front of the house on the north side with sun loungers + pool deck below.
The village is 1Km away and it is possible to go to Aix by bus without taking the car. The largest body of water in the Bouches du Rhône is less than 5 km away. Many excursions possible nearby (Luberon at 20 minutes, Sainte Victoire at 30 etc ...)
Jouques is a picturesque and preserved Provençal village, between the Durance and the Sainte Victoire mountain, from the house you also see the Luberon.
In the center (2 km) you will find all the necessary shops: butcher, organic, bakers, vegetable merchant, two mini-markets, 3 cafes with shaded terraces, pharmacy, post office, bank, restaurants, hairdressers, ... plus a market on Sunday.
The village has always attracted many artists and archaeologists. It remains calm and peaceful even in the height of summer.

We had a lovely time staying in the house. It’s spacious, and you encounter all sorts of curiosities everywhere you look. The large table outside remained in the shade all day, so we were able to eat all our meals outside while looking at the trees. The large swimming pool was a real highlight: it was wonderful to swim in fresh water, alongside beautiful frogs and with colourful dragonflies swooping overhead. We had a bit of difficulty keeping the upstairs bedrooms cool, leading to a few sleepless nights, but the ground and lower floors remained lovely and cool throughout the hot weather. Georges was very responsive, answering queries promptly and giving us useful recommendations. The two cats, Libelle and Lul, were also extremely friendly.

La maison est spacieuse, très bien équipée et confortable. La terrasse ombragée est très appréciée du matin au soir. Et si les petites bêtes ne vous font pas peur, plongez dans la piscine naturelle non chlorée.
Jouques est resté un village authentique à visiter. Nous avons passé 2 superbes semaines dans la nature. Recommandons.

Nous avons passé deux formidables semaines dans cette villa très bien équipée, au calme, dans un environnement magnifique. Les photos disponibles sont loin de la réalité qui s'avère bien mieux. La piscine naturelle est très agréable à condition d'aimer la nature et les petites bébêtes que l'on peut y croiser. Aucun problème pour nous, nous avons adoré. Les chats sont adorables, tout comme leurs maîtres, fort sympathiques, accueillants et toujours disponibles en cas de questions. Bref, nous reviendrons avec plaisir !

Très bon séjour en famille dans cette grande maison familiale, au calme mais proche du village de Jouques, très agréable, et de nombreux sites touristiques remarquables.
L'accueil simple et chaleureux d'Isabelle et Georges nous permet de nous sentir tout de suite" comme chez nous".
J'ajoute la compagnie des chats et aussi des grenouilles au bord de la piscine naturelle, pour des vacances bucoliques et au calme, comme on les aime!
