About this cottage rental
This eco and one of a kind, cottage is a time capsule back in the agricultural Karpathian living. It is suitable for guests who want to have the full experience of the old traditional lifestyle of the island. You will be amazed by the old clay ceiling and the open-air medieval windows.
Our cottage was build in 1900 and renovated in 2019. It is stone-build with wooden ceiling. The interior is traditional Karpathian deco with the traditional Karpathian bedroom ''sofas'' (where there is a double mattress on which two people can sleep). Many elements were kept traditional as they were many years ago.
It is located in a very convenient position 3,5 km from Menetes, 4 km from the town of Karpathos and 2,5 km from the nearest beach Amoopi. It is also 12,5 km from the airport.
The cottage is nicely placed on a hill with amazing view. It is recommended for 2 people.

We were there in mid-May and had a wonderful time. A good starting point for tours. Great location with a beautiful view of the sea and mountains. The hosts are very friendly and always on hand if anything is missing. I have been to Karpathos several times and enjoyed this stay very much as the 3 of us wanted to be alone. A very charming cottage with a great terrace and flower garden. Thank you very much for a lovely time.

Wer es traditionell und authentisch liebt und auch auf WLAN verzichten kann, ist auch noch Anfang bis Mitte November in diesem Haus gut aufgehoben. Im Sommer sowieso. Wenn man den Norden sehr besuchen möchte, sollte man dort noch ein zweites Quartier haben. Karpathos ist eine wundervolle Insel und dieses Haus auch! Astrid

If you looked for privacy. And if you want to spend your time in Karpathos in an authentic accommodation...
Then you will be happy to find Vahta cottage, an unique, traditional and very cozy house. Perfect for a couple.
The kitchen is well equipped.
Around the house Olive trees and a little garden.
The house is a bit close to the road to Pigadia. But it doesn’t matter, it isn’t noisy. And you will reach all destinations very comfortable.
The host family is always helpful and very friendly.
We loved the house and enjoyed to stay here very much :)))
