About this house rental
The Beach Haven is perfectly located just steps from Mission beach and close walking distance to stores, restaurants and the Garnet strip. The house is a newly renovated stand-alone 2 story home with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, dining area, kitchen and patio. It is the perfect home-away-from-home on the ocean-side of Mission Blvd.
Our home is walking distance to Pacific Beach, shopping, restaurants, attractions, biking, surfing, Belmont Amusement Park and Mission Bay.
There is parking for 2 medium size vehicles or 1 large vehicle in the back and a private patio in the front.
The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances including a refrigerator, gas range, oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, toaster oven, blender as well as fully stocked with cookware, silverware, plates, and glasses.
Our home also has a washer/dryer, a big screen HD TV on the main floor.
The house sleeps 9 guests. 2 of the bedrooms have queen size beds and the third has a bunk bed with a full-size on the bottom and a twin on top. On the main floor there is a full size sofa bed.
Amenities: Hi-speed wireless internet, HD TV's and BBQ. Included in the rental: All utilities (water, gas/electric, trash pickup)
Located conveniently close to major San Diego freeways, a short drive will take you to various golf courses, La Jolla, Ocean Beach, Pt. Loma, Downtown (Gaslamp, Little Italy, East Village).
Depending on the season, we may not approve booking requests that leave a one night vacancy before of after the request. We also may not approve two night weekend bookings that are requested more than two weeks in advance. For these situations it is better to send an inquiry rather than a booking request.
*PETS* All pets need prior approval from the owners. If approved the pet fee is $25 per pet per day. This is an add on fee that will be charged after the reservation has been accepted

Great place and location! Had pretty much all the amenities we could have expected. Short walk to so many restaurants, the beach and bay. Parking spot was great because we went to Legoland and the zoo on our trip and a car was necessary. The main living area was a little small for 4 adults and 4 kids to hang out but we didn’t come to San Diego to sit on the couch so it was fine! We loved mission beach so much.

Our stay was amazing thanks to the area this home is located. It is in walking distance to so much! It is just steps away from the beach. There are so many great restaurants near by. The house was the perfect size for 5 adults and one child. The house is very well stocked with all cooking tools and very well organized and clean. Parking was great to have on property. I have a full size truck, GMC Sierra 1500, and it fit a little snug. The beach chairs, towels and toys were great to have and use. We would wake up and enjoy our morning coffee on the patio. The double doors are such a great feature as it feels so open from the living room onto the patio. This place is truly a gem. Thank you to the hosts for providing such a nice, neat, clean house near the beach. So many fun memories were made.

Overall we had a great trip but it's unlikely we would rent this property again. The pros: beach house is the perfect proximity to the beach as we don't like being right on the boardwalk, property managers are very responsive and the patio makes for a perfect hangout after a day at the beach. The cons: we failed to notice in the listing that this property has no central air, if we had, we wouldn't have rented to begin with. It also didn't help that we were there during an excessively hot weekend. The Beach house is very dated and dirty, property managers should look into their cleaning company as they did a horrible job. The listing also needs to be updated as there are no longer any bikes included, for us, that wasn't a big deal as we brought our own but one ended up getting stolen during the night. You can only chain your bikes to a wooden fence since there is no garage, but if thieves want something bad enough they will get it. As I said, overall we had a great time making memories at the beach!
